Awards for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) nominations are up for both Students and Educators!
The Award for AiC honors 9th-12th grade women, genderqueer, and non-binary students for their computing-related achievements and interests, and encourages them to pursue their passions.
The AiC Educator Award identifies exemplary formal and informal educators who play a pivotal role in encouraging 9th-12th grade women, genderqueer, and non-binary students to explore their interests in computing and technology.

CSTA and the Kapor Center are once again conducting a survey of K-12 computer science teachers in the United States. The CS education landscape continues to evolve, and we want to hear directly from teachers about your experiences, challenges, and what resources would be most useful to you at this time. We need your voice! Complete our national survey, which will take about 20 minutes of your time. As thanks for your time, the first 3,000 teachers who complete the survey will receive their choice of a $10 Tremendous gift card. All participants will be entered in a raffle for one of five $200 gift cards.

This one-day virtual event brings together K-12 Computer Science teachers by calling them to action to:

  • provide a more inclusive computer science environment for ALL students
  • transform their approach to providing equitable CS education rooted in justice
  • and engage in strategies to equip educators and advocates with resources on representation, access, and culturally sustaining pedagogies.

Sessions for this summit will be focused on four strands:

  • Representation
  • Removing Barriers in CS
  • Student Voice/Power

CSTA Board of Directors Applications 2022

The CSTA Board of Directions is accepting applications for new board members for the 2022-2024 term. Applications are due no later than 11:59 p.m. PT on March 15, 2022. Late or incomplete application packages will not be accepted or considered for the selection process. The election will take place online, beginning April 8, 2022. All CSTA+ members in good standing on this date are eligible to vote. The election will close on April 29, 2022. Results will be posted by May 10, 2022. Please send election-related questions to the Nominations and Elections Committee Chair at nominations@csteachers.org.
