CSTA Board of Directors Applications 2022

The CSTA Board of Directions is accepting applications for new board members for the 2022-2024 term. Applications are due no later than 11:59 p.m. PT on March 15, 2022. Late or incomplete application packages will not be accepted or considered for the selection process. The election will take place online, beginning April 8, 2022. All CSTA+ members in good standing on this date are eligible to vote. The election will close on April 29, 2022. Results will be posted by May 10, 2022. Open Positions:

CSTA Board of Directors is seeking candidates for its annual election.  We are looking for diverse perspectives to represent our CSTA members. CSTA board positions up for election are:

  • K-8 Teacher Representative - a classroom teacher who is currently teaching computer science at the elementary and/or middle school level (generally students aged 5-14).
  • 9-12 Teacher Representative - a classroom teacher who is currently teaching computer science at the high school level (generally students aged 14-18).
  • At-Large Representative - an educator who engages with pre-collegiate computer science teaching and learning.
  • College/University Faculty Representative - a faculty member from a college or university computing department (which may include community colleges).
  • Teacher Education Representative - a college- or university-level faculty member who has primary responsibility for the instruction of pre-service and/or in-service teachers of computer science and/or computing disciplines.
  • International Teacher Representative - an international (outside the United States) classroom teacher who is currently teaching or engaging in computer science education at the pre-collegiate level.
  • State Department Representative - an educator or administrator who reports to a state department of education and oversees, in some capacity, computer science education.

CSTA Board Information Night:

CSTA Board Information Night will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 6 pm CST.  Come hear from current board members and learn about what it means to serve on the CSTA Board of Directors. We will share information about the nominations and elections timeline, what a board member does, walk through our application form questions for candidates and the rubric used to review all applications.

How to Submit an Application:

  2. Create a login specific to this nomination form. Be sure to save your login information! 
  3. Click "Submit Nomination" and complete the questions in the form. 
  4. All nominations must be submitted by March 15, 2022. 
  5. You will receive a confirmation email from nominations@csteachers.org once your nomination has been received.
