Our Capital District Community is LIVE!
Communities are a virtual platform that allows you to connect with CS educators from this chapter and any other Community you would like to join!

Participation is through MemberNova, so you need an account to participate in virtual discussions. This is a nice way to stay connected with each other outside of Chapter Meetings!
You are able to post discussion threads and then others can reply.

Winter Member Spotlight
This year for each member newsletter, we wanted to spotlight a member of our group. You are all doing amazing things in your own spaces, and we think that deserves to be shared!
Check out this newsletters member spotlight, Carole Geruso of Glens Falls!

Identity Markers & Equity in CS
Cultural proficiency is when an adult understands that their personal culture and background impacts the people they work with. It is important for teachers to understand the gender, racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic makeup of their computer science classrooms.
Developing Mental Toughness for STEM Retention

STEM is the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. It was originally created to put a focus on the careers that would have a high need in the future.
Celebrating Diversity in Computer Science
Black History Month Collage
Today, we can honor Black History Month not just through slideshows and historical figures, but by highlighting Black people's resilience and contributions in the very subjects we teach — computer science included.
